How many years has it been since that damn fat rodent DIDN'T see his shadow?? Every year "6 more weeks" of winter. EVERY FREAKIN' YEAR! With so many cameras and light and shit on the little guy why wouldnt he see a shadow freak out and run inside. I would, if i'd been sleeping for a year and then tried to come out for a bit of fresh febuary air to see hords of people crowding around my front door. That's scary!! Why doesnt everyone leave phil alone. Maybe he wants to get some shopping down on his one day out of the hole. Maybe he wants to go to the gym and work out! I think he should. I don't know how big groundhogs are supposed to be but Phil looks alittle squidgy around the edges.
I also want to say something about this "6 weeks of winter" crap. for whom does this weather forecast apply? Because those folks in texas and florida arent getting much of a winter at all... In maryland it's anybody's guess as to when spring will show up. Up here in Connecticut, i don't know about you, but i'm not expecting winter to end for another 2 months or so. i'm guessing neither do the earthy people in vermont. but i think they're too busy tapping and hugging maple trees to care.
So put on your hat and scarf and batton down the hatches because Phil our furry weatherhog says this winter is not over. what a surprise!
