will winter every end???

OK. i'm not REALLY complaining. i've been in CT long enough to know... but this snowing every 2 or 3 days is starting to piss me off. at least it's not MAJOR snow. now that i've gotten that off my chest, i'll tell you that i'm really not that bummed about all this "winter" still hanging around. and i'll explain why:

So i'm going to nassau 3 weeks from yesterday and however excited i am for the trip and however wonderful it will be just to hang with my bean on the beach. it'll be THAT much more wonderful if i get to go from this:

to this:

isn't as big a change, if it's already up in the upper 40's and low 50's like it's supposed to be. however i do realize that a beautiful tropical beach like that isnt every going to happen around here no matter how hot it is!! bring on the palm trees!

what kind of drink should i order???... i'm taking suggestions in my comments section.

ps. on a random note. i'm borrowing the franz ferdinand cd from a friend. it's good! it's very new wave -esque.

by the way, if you're in the stamford area. i'm going to be singing sunday night. 2 super cool songs. one is a beautiful love song. Ani L'Dodi v'Dodi Li. and Mi Chamocha, which is FUN FUN FUN.

the abyss

there is an abyss called work where my friends go and don't call for 3 weeks... and then they emerge. yay!

March is not spring in connecticut!

It's march 2nd but we've got a fresh 7" of snow on the ground. what the hell?? i know. i should be used to this by now. I've been here for um... 9 winters? is that right?...

yes i believe it is. this is my 9th winter in connecticut. still doesn't make it any easier.

on a happier note. i'm going to be in the bahamas in 30 days! bring on the piña coladas baby!!
